Helen Elisabeth was born in 1968 in Dax , France. Her family moved to a military base in Germany when she was 7 years old. When she was a teenager, her family moved to Tahiti.

Helene returned to France to study Law at the University of Strasbourg and then went on to get her degree as a lawyer in Bordeaux.  After working two years in Brittany, Helene put on hold her career to follow her husband to Australia. After her return to France, She went to work in Paris as a legal adviser, taking short breaks to visit her husband who was at the time posted in Birshtek, Kirghizstan. A few years later, She moved with her familly to Baku, Azerbaijan, then to Paris and finally to the U.S

Today, Helene Elisabeth lives in Zambia with her husband and four children.
